VOICE SOUNDER SG-Pgw2 HOLDS DOCUMENTS ISSUED BY THE CNBOP-PIB:
Use:
Signalling device with voice messages is intended for signalling a fire alternately with acoustic signal and voice message signal. Voice sounder SG-Pgw2 is intended for indoor applications.
Construction:
The signalling device has a plastic casing that contains electronic components. The casing consists of three parts: a body with a speaker installed, a cover with a printed circuit, and a base that can be mounted on a wall / a ceiling or directly to a PIP-3AN box.
Cover contains:
- power supply connection,
- connection for a WSD-1 switch,
- micro USB connection,
- potentiometer for volume adjustment,
- jumper for selecting the operating mode of the device.
The power supply connection has three terminals marked as “+1”, “+2”, “GND”. The USB connection makes it possible to copy messages from a PC to the internal memory of the device. Due to the jumper of the operation mode. The user can select between operation modes of either up to three messages or up to 10 messages.
The signalling device can emit up to 18 patterns of acoustic signals; it is also possible to choose the “no acoustic signal” option. SG-Pgw2 voice alarm device enables operation in two modes: up to three messages or up to ten messages. The operation mode depends on the position of the jumper placed in the device cover and on the number of messages.
The mode with up to 10 messages is only active when the number of messages is higher than three.
Cooperation with WSD-1 audible signal switch:
When the signalling device has to be deactivated locally, the user can use the attested sound signal switch WSD-1. The signalling device has a connection block for connecting the switch. On connecting the WSD-1 switch, pressing the key deactivates the sound signal of the device. The condition is active as long as voltage is present on the terminals of the device. The active condition of the switched is indicated with the LED on the switch key.
Attention!
The WSD-1 switch is powered directly from the sounder (it does not require external power supply).
Opening:
To open the signalling device: screw out the screw locking the base, turn the shade anticlockwise while holding the base, then separate the shade and the base.
Closing:
To close the signalling device: fit together the markers. After that put together the device and turn in the direction marked with an arrow (the sequence in the drawing). On closing, lock the base by screwing in the locking screw.
Installation recomendation:
SG-Pgw2 signalling devices should be connected to Fire Alarming System by means of junction boxes featuring fire resistance (PIP-3AN is recommended). The junction box should be mounted to a ceilling / wall, which should also have required fire resistance. In the case when for an esthetic reasons installation of signalling device directly on PIP-3AN junction box is impossible, it is admissible to install a signalling device on substrate that does not have required fire resistance, however the junction box must be mounted on substrate having required fire resistance (e.g. a situation, in which a PIP-3AN junction box is mounted to a ceiling having E90 fire resistance, while the SG-Pgw2 signalling device is mounted on a suspended ceiling).
